Notification of Added Collaborators
When a contact is added to a Symbium permit application or a Symbium project as a collaborator, Symbium will send an initial notification to the email address provided for that contact. This notification is part of our commitment to user transparency and ensures all parties are informed about their inclusion in the permit application. This initial notification will include:
Access Grant Notifications
When a collaborator is granted access to a Symbium project, the initial notification (see Notification of Added Collaborators) from Symbium to the collaborator will additionally include:
Access Removal Notifications
When a collaborator's access to a Symbium project is revoked–whether by the project owner or another user with editor permissions–Symbium will send a notification informing the collaborator of this change. This notification is intended to maintain transparency around project access and permissions. This notification will include:
Third-Party System Notifications
For projects where Symbium facilitates permit submissions to a jurisdiction's Permit Tracking System (PTS), collaborators that are included within the permit application as a contractor, owner, or applicant may receive notifications directly from the City's system. These notifications are generated and governed by the jurisdiction and are outside of Symbium's control.

In addition to initial notifications for collaborators added to Symbium projects (see Notification of Added Collaborators), Symbium sends project-related notifications–such as permit payment reminders, permit issuance notices, and project revision updates–to all collaborators with some access permissions (view or edit) to the Symbium project.
